World Maths Day
On Wednesday 8th March children in classes 1 to 4 took part in the Mathletics World Maths Day Challenge. We competed with over a million children worldwide to complete mental maths challenges.
The exciting day started with a live introduction to the challenge which was watched by schools around the world. We found out about different time zones around the world. Children in Australasia and Asia had already completed their challenges whereas children in North and South America wouldn't complete their challenge until the evening!
Everyone worked so hard and the excitement around maths was wonderful to see. Lots of children chose to continue their challenge at lunchtime because they were so excited to finish. "I love maths!" was shouted on more than one occasion!
We are so proud of all the amazing mathematicians at Tushingham!
